My PhD study focuses on reducing nitrogen losses from dairy cattle production. It explores how phase feeding with protein affects the persistency of milk production throughout lactation and improves nitrogen utilization efficiency. The research also investigates the effects of feeding protein levels below current recommendations on milk production and body composition, along with a meta-analysis to improve modeling of microbial protein supply.
