My research focuses on energy, protein, and carbohydrate metabolism in horses in relation to health and disease, including feed evaluation. Several projects have focused on the nutrient content of grass in relation to grazing and forage production for horses.
I teach comparative and specifically equine nutrition at the bachelor, master, and PhD levels, and supervise all groups of students in projects related to nutrition, health, and disease in horses. I also supervise several international students each year who come for shorter or longer internships.
I collaborate with other national and international university environments and companies in relation to research, knowledge sharing, and dissemination related to nutrition, health, and disease in horses.
