As a laboratory animal technician, I work with animals used in research. I am responsible for their care and supervision, ensuring their welfare, environmental enrichment, and adherence to best practices in handling.
I also guide and support researchers in conducting studies in the most effective way possible. I have experience in breeding laboratory animals and performing procedures such as collecting tissue sampling for genotyping, injections, weighing and measuring, providing support during surgery, and assisting with behavioral studies
