I am interested in understanding the neurobiological mechanisms of depression and rapid acting antidepressants, with special attention on the role of neuroplasticity. I work animal studies (dissection of regions of interest, injections, and various behavioral tests), histology, molecular biology, animal surgery, primary neuronal cultures, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining, imaging techniques with different types of microscopies, and brain morphological analysis.
