My current research focuses on the influence of soluble and insoluble dietary fiber on gut health and post-weaning diarrhea in piglets. More specifically, I investigate how nutrition interacts with gut microbiome and mucosa, and how this impacts several health parameters. Previously, I have had research projects on the effect of heat stress on the histology of chicken gut, worm coinfection and immune response in mice, and assessment of the usability of rabbit body condition score scales.
