Can we make textile out of grass? How is it possible to extract protein from seaweed? And can grass protein replace soybeans in the feed for pigs and poultry?

You can learn about this and much more at the upcoming webinar presented by the Aarhus University Centre for Circular Bioeconomy (CBIO). PhD students and Postdocs from several departments at Aarhus University will give short pitch presentations of their current research projects.

The webinar will take place on 1 July 9-12, and anyone interested is welcome to attend.

Green biomass and much more

Centre director Uffe Jørgensen will open the Webinar with a presentation of CBIO.

This will be followed by 15 presentations of current research projects, which will be divided into four categories:

  • Biorefining green biomass for feed and food
  • Value-added products from side streams
  • Cropping systems and management
  • Seaweed in the circular bioeconomy

Claus Felby from Novo Nordisk Foundation will conclude the webinar with his presentation: ”Beyond 70% GHG reduction - what should be the research & development priorities?”

After each presentation, it will be possible to ask questions

    ABOUT CBIO

Aarhus University Centre for Circular Bioeconomy, CBIO, was established in 2017 to support the transition from the fossil-based economy to a circular and biobased economy. With eight research platforms, it embraces most areas of the bioeconomy, and a suite of projects supporting the green transition is now running under CBIO.
