Experience animal science and farm animals at eye level at AU-Foulum
A world full of exciting experiences is waiting for you at Aarhus University Foulum when we open our doors, welcoming you to Open Farm Sunday on 17 September from 10.00 to 16.00. Do not hesitate to bring your children and parents and get unique insights into the world of farm animals and researchers.
Would you like to spend a day together with your family stroking small calves at the Danish Cattle Research Centre, saying hello to piglets at the organic farm or standing face to face with mink at the mink farm? Then join us at Open Farm Sunday at AU-Foulum. This year, three of our facilities will be open to the public: the Danish Cattle Research Centre, the Organic Platform and the mink farm.
We offer many exciting indoor and outdoor activities. Experiments are running at all three facilities, and the researchers are ready to tell you about how they work and what they are currently working on. In general, the purpose of animal science is to provide new knowledge about how we feed the animals the best possible way and how we design the stables and the outdoor areas so that the animals thrive well, are healthy and minimise any environmental damage.
