Course details

VOLUME
The volume of the PhD course is 5 ECTS. Participants are expected to deliver 150 working hours.

TIMING
Residential course, 13–17 June 2022.

Preparation prior to course: reading literature, own presentation.

TARGET GROUP
PhD students and researchers within science, veterinary, agricultural and health sciences working with animals, including animal model studies, experimentation, in zoo and animal parks, and with scientific questions related to stress biology.

From the four airports in Jutland, the distance to the course site is
Billund (BLL) airport: 21 km
Karup (KRP) airport: 86 km
Aarhus (AAR) airport: 126 km
Ålborg (AAL) airport: 200 km
Vejle Train station: 12 km

To get from the airport to the course site, the easiest will be to take a taxi (approx. 450 DKK).

From the couse site, short transport to exercises (1 day) at the University of Aarhus, Department of Animal Science, Research Centre Foulum, Blichers Allé 20, DK-8830 Tjele.

EVALUATION
Diploma following approved participation in and accomplishment of the course.

PARTICIPANT QUALIFICATIONS
Ongoing or completed PhD study.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
30 participants.

LANGUAGE OF TEACHING AND TEACHING MATERIALS
English.

EXPECTED COST
PhD students: 1100 Euro incl. accomodation, meals and excursions.
Others: 1350 Euro incl. accomodation, meals and excursions.
Single days for others (not earning ECTS points) incl. meals but without accomodation: 200 Euro per day.
